A historic building that has been split into 3 different apartments and only a few steps away from the port of Hydra.
Made of traditional square stones, the apartment has thick one metre walls allowing it to be cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
The apartment is separated into two sections.
On entering through the main courtyard door, there is an outside area which is shared with the other apartment next door.
The first room has the traditional ceiling of carved wood and is very high. Arched windows and wooden cupboards built into the wall.
Throughout the floors are laid with red stone brought from the island of Dokos which are very rare to find today.
The second room is open planned fitted with a kitchen and plenty of cupboards. Towards the back is a bathroom which has been redone over the years.
A wooden mezzanine has been constructed towards the back of the room as a sleeping area. Due to the height of the building there is freedom of being able to stand upright without having to be careful.
With little investment and mainly cosmetic work, the apartment can make a lovely getaway home and convenient being so close to the port. It can also make a good holiday rental when not being used.
