Near a small church, surrounded by lush greenery is Rosie’s house, only a short distance from the port with one long flight of steps to consider.
Through the main entrance gate from the street is a small courtyard. Here is a self contained studio which consists of a small kitchenette, bathroom with shower and bedroom making it ideal for guests. Above is a flat roof terrace which can be enjoyed during the warmer season.
The ground floor of the main house is the oldest part of the property where original features can still be seen. On entering you are directly into the open plan kitchen/living room area. The kitchen has been renovated for more modern convenience but the old stove hood is still in tact. The living room has red tiled floors, an old wooden beamed ceiling and in one corner is a large wood burning fireplace. There is one double bedroom with an original fireplace in the corner and a separate bathroom.
Continuing up a wooden internal staircase is another small room. This can be used as an extra single bedroom room or office/library. Further up is a door which leads onto an outside terrace where views of the sea and valley can be seen.
A few more steps lead to the first floor which consists of a second living room area with a small kitchenette built in one corner. There is also a master bedroom with fireplace and a separate bathroom. From the main living room area is a lovely conservatory area with french style windows all around giving wonderful views and allowing sunlight to stream in.
Outside in the ground courtyard area is a water cistern which is filled by rainwater and used mainly for watering the trees and mediterranean shrubs. Further from the courtyard is another area which has been used for storage and as a workshop.
A charming house with a great sense of space and with a small amount of care can make a wonderful home.
